a month agoExcellent vegan and gluten free afternoon tea! We reserved a table for Afternoon Tea here, and enjoyed it on the terrace overlooking the lovely garden. They accommodated our dietary restrictions amazingly, and service was excellent. The tea was perfect, the sandwiches and cakes were flavorful, and the whole experience was easily my favorite part of our stay in London.

a month agoA wonderful hotel--- second time we've stayed at this location. Rooms are a little small, but the location is fantastic, right near the British Museum and public transportation. The staff is awesome - very attentive and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit.

a month agoWhat a lovely place to stay on our first visit to London! The Georgian townhome is cozy with lovely public spaces and the service was excellent from concierge and housekeeping all the way to the late night bar. We weren’t in a suite, so expect the smaller rooms you’d expect in any large city. Very comfortable and quiet room. Two lovely parks nearby, shopping and lots of cafes! To say nothing of the British Museum across the street. Bravo!

4 months agoThis is my and my family's absolute favorite London hotel! It's the only hotel we stay at when we visit London. There is a sentimental value also attached to the hotel in addition to its excellent location and most of all its excellent staff and management. From our very first visit in 2008, we have always been welcomed with smiles and 1000% guest service, our names and faces are have always been recalled on every visit by everyone which is amazing. Now to the rooms (we usually book a King category): Totally encased jewel boxes which are outfitted with every detail one needs and wants with the finest quality products on offer. To add, the rooms we were fortunate to get overlooked the garden (although not owned by the hotel) so imagine how peaceful it is to sit and look out at that peaceful scene whenever possible. Food is the same: Excellent quality. Their breakfasts are huge, fantastic spreads. And again the staff are the key at The Montague on the Gardens. Because without excellent staff there isn't excellent service and attention to detail. All of these ought to go hand in hand with every hotel stay to assure guests of a most pleasurable stay. Certainly The Montague on the Gardens does this well in our opinion.
