Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, Plateau is a contemporary French restaurant perfect for hosting glamorous Christmas parties. With its commanding position on the fourth floor of Canada Place, Plateau offers an ideal setting for casual pre-Christmas gatherings with friends or annual office celebrations.

The restaurant boasts a sweeping glass frontage and partially glazed ceiling, allowing ample natural light to fill the main dining room during the day and showcasing the City’s twinkling skyline at night. The covered and heated outdoor terrace ensures alfresco celebrations are possible even during winter, while two elegantly appointed private dining rooms provide indoor alternatives.

The first private dining room, the Wine Room, features an impressive floor-to-ceiling wine wall. The sommelier can conduct tutored wine tastings, cocktail masterclasses, and whisky tastings for added festive fun. This room can accommodate up to 24 guests for a sit-down dinner or 30 guests for a standing reception, with the option of total privacy behind glazed doors or an open-door arrangement to enjoy the main restaurant’s lively atmosphere.

The Art Room, Plateau’s second private dining space, is named after the stunning Klimt canvas that serves as its backdrop. With full-height glass doors offering a complete view of the main restaurant, the Art Room can host up to 16 seated guests around an oval table or 18 guests for standing receptions.

Plateau’s menu features seasonal and festive dishes inspired by classic French techniques and flavours. The restaurant can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and canapé options, all made from the freshest seasonal produce.

    We had dinner for my husband’s birthday. Had the table at the window which made the evening super nice. The service was great and the food was just perfect, we both had lamb and I have no words to describe how tasty it was which I highly recommend!

    The service was excellent - staff members were very polite and professional. We sat at the terrace with lovely atmosphere . The food options were limited - Hake dish was excellent but sirloin wasn't the best quality.

    Absolutely beautiful place, it's located on the 4th floor above Waitrose and Partners. Modern French food served at its finest. Had an amazing dinner in a very well looked after restaurant with service which cannot be faulted. You can easily find yourself relaxed and staying well over 2hrs without being rushed out the door. Be sure to try the following 2 for the mains; Hake or Guinea flow. Make sure to book if you are going during busy period.

    The food was OK, but there were not enough options. I thought the steak was dry, the crab was bland and tasted too fishey for a crab meat. Overall, food wasn't really tasty. Cocktails were nice, decent rum (sunset beach). Lovely ambience and attentive, friendly staff. Happy Christmas. X

    Sunday lunch on mothering Sunday was a bit of a challenge, but we got a booking, so can imagine, it wasn't my friend's first choice but considering his first choice was somewhere we've been before where the food wasn't that great at the time, I was happy to come here instead, funny enough I can see the first choice restaurant from where I am sitting in the restaurant it's right in front of us. Anyway, the service is very sharp the uniform of the ladies look very lovely and floral. The only thing that we had an issue with was how long it took to take our drink orders. Also, there were a few times that we felt a little bit neglected I mean considering that we were the first people actually in the restaurant and that at that time we were virtually the only ones there. I was very happy with the food.
