a month agoA nice place to have lunch right near St. Paul. The food was not to my liking though: the toast was a bit burnt, the steak was too well-done and the lava cake was… well not caking. But the service was super nice and I love how this cafe is full of light

4 months ago⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) Café Rouge - St Paul's offers delightful food that is sure to please any discerning palate. From the flavorful dishes to the inviting ambiance, it's a great spot for a meal in the heart of St Paul's. The food itself was a highlight of our visit. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and the dishes we ordered were well-prepared, showcasing quality ingredients and thoughtful flavors. Whether it was the savory mains or the delectable desserts, we left the table with satisfied appetites. However, the dining experience was marred by a notable service hiccup. We watched as our food was placed right next to us by the kitchen staff, but unfortunately, we had to wait for around 10 minutes for our server to arrive and put it on our table. This delay was somewhat disappointing and impacted the overall enjoyment of our visit. The staff's attentiveness could have been improved, especially considering the wait for our food to be properly served. A more prompt and attentive service would have enhanced the dining experience and made us feel more valued as guests. The restaurant's location in St Paul's is undoubtedly a draw, offering a convenient and central spot to enjoy a meal while exploring the city. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is pleasant and cozy, providing a suitable setting for a relaxing dining experience. While Café Rouge - St Paul's has its strengths, the service delay was a notable drawback that affected our overall perception of the visit. With some improvements in the service efficiency and attentiveness, the restaurant has the potential to deliver an even better dining experience to its patrons.

2 months agoThe service was good but we had burgers and they were a bit dry inside, generally the food was mediocre at best but the outstanding dessert was the crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. However, the views and the ambience of Cafe Rouge were well worth it especially to have a nice walk down after the food.
